Key Green Solutions Attends HealthTrust Connect

Relationship Manager, Jeff Burks, to join the HealthTrust Connect Show panel on 10/25/24

HealthTrust Performance Group is hosting a Connect Show, an event enabling healthcare leaders to learn more about sustainability in healthcare through conversation, panels, and connection with vendors. Key Green Solutions Saves Almost $1,000,000 for New Customer

When organizations become customers of Key Green Solutions, they work closely with our implementation team to make sure all vendors and data is accounted for. Last year, Implementation Manager Tim Schuitema did the same for a mid-sized customer and found severe discrepancies in their billing.

Tim stated, “Last November, I was assisting in a Request for Proposal for a mid-sized organization. While compiling a 12-month hazardous waste analysis, our team noticed their spend seemed much higher than what we would normally expect. After investigation into the discrepancy, we found that not only were there errors in the reporting their hazardous waste vendor had provided, but that they were also double billed.“

After the Key Green Solutions team evaluated the 12 months’ worth of invoices line item by line item to find any further latent billing errors, Tim was able to report back to the client with shocking and bad– yet ultimately great– news. “We told the customer what we had found to be multiple alleged billing errors, and they went back to their hazardous waste vendor for clarification. Thank to Key Green Solutions‘ implementation team, our customer was credited over $990,000 for the hazardous waste billing errors.”

KGS team participates in the 19th Annual Mayors’ Grand River Cleanup

This past Saturday the KGS team had the opportunity to participate in the 19^th Annual Mayors’ Grand River Cleanup in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan.

This annual event is an opportunity for the community to come together and clean up trash from the Grand River and the surrounding land, helping the community make a commitment to a clean and sustainable future at home. In an interview from Fox 17 Annual Mayors’ Grand River Cleanup kicks off (fox17online.com) , Managing Partner of KGS Mark Huizenga was quoted saying of the event, “People from all over the area come here to say clean water’s important to us, and to be part of a solution.”

In Grand Rapids, Michigan, there is an annual water cleanup for the Grand River. COVID-19 — What Does it Mean for Key Green?

The coronavirus and the disease COVID-19 has been sweeping through the world, causing stress amongst healthcare systems and work facilities alike. What does this mean for service at Key Green Solutions?

As a Software As A Service (SAAS) company, we are inherently able to provide our employees “Social Distancing” allowing them to work from home and for you our users to access this data and reporting remotely.
Our close-knit staff members are well prepared to work from home and are able to service our customers like any other given day. One hiccup that may come is data delay—this would be due to slower responses on the end of our customers’ vendors, who are mostly working from home during this stressful time. Key Green Supports Relay for Life

Key Green Solutions helped with the set-up of the Relay for Life Event in Walker, Michigan. The team was putting out signs along the track, setting up registration tent and tables, organizing t-shirts, and setting up the photo booth/arches.
Relay for Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, which seeks to remember loved ones lost to cancer, honor survivors of all cancer, and raise money to help make a larger impact on the global impact of cancer.

Key Green Solutions Sorts It Out

Key Green Solutions kicked off the first day of Art Prize by volunteering at the S.O.R.T. station, which served as a waste station to help educate participants on how to properly dispose of their waste. S.O.R.T station bins and volunteers were stationed outside throughout the Art Prize venue, and enthusiastically educated visitors about the compost, recycling, and landfill options.
Art Prize brings nearly 400,000 visitors to Grand Rapids for an independently organized art competition, making the S.O.R.T stations an opportune time to educate and minimize waste from the event. The S.O.R.T stations are in partnership with Art Prize and the West Michigan Environmental Action Council, all of which is an effort to support the City of Grand Rapid’s commitment to sustainability.
