Key Green Solutions has become familiar with legislation that varies from state to state, and works alongside systems to make sure that guidelines are being followed.
One example of legislation regarding energy utilities is Assembly Bill No. 802, which was filed and approved by California Legislation back in October of 2015. Although this bill set out to clarify the goals for utility vendors to store critical energy utility information, Key Green Solutions has played a large role in maintaining the integrity and interpretation of reporting for many California customers. While the legislation addressed vendor storage of data, Key Green Solutions offers real-time usage for this data in one central platform where customers can review, check, and report in clear and concise tables and visual graphics. Rather than manually relaying information from many sources, customers can log in, view condensed data for date ranges selected, and export information as needed—all while having the ability to refer to a personal coordinator for assistance.
Government compliance often becomes more difficult as buildings and square footages become larger, but with Key Green Solutions compliance reporting becomes much easier. Our staff not only takes care of data submission for award applications, but also supports data entry for tools such as ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, which is a tool that has been mandated by many states. While reserving the ability to report information on their own through personal access to Key Green Solutions, customers can also choose to sit back and wait for data to come from or be populated by their Key Green Solutions team directly into the source.

Another season of Practice Greenhealth award applications has come to a close, and our team is looking forward to seeing our customers’ results!
Every year Key Green Solutions supports their customers applying to Practice Greenhealth by populating their application with data pulled directly out of Key Green Solution’s software application, and this data is then QC’d by the healthcare system’s personal Key Green Solutions Relationship Coordinator. This year we automatically uploaded data into the Practice Greenhealth Partner for Change Award application for 49 hospitals. We sorted through 1.5 million data records and answered around 4,000 questions; for us this takes about 5 minutes per location, all because of one word: automation.
Our automatic process saves the healthcare system time and money; there is no longer a need to scramble through endless excel sheets to find the data, and our customers can leave all the work up to Key Green Solutions. We help our customers set the standard of excellence for the healthcare community nationwide. Now all there is left to do is wait for that award!

Last week our team of technicians upgraded our production severs, taking our user experience to a new level. The new servers take advantage of virtualization; our main server and mobile server are now virtual machines that allow us to move seamlessly to new hardware in the future. We now have the capability to move to our backup server in a very short amount of time if hardware problems arise. Our database server was upgraded to new hardware and faster drives to handle increased activity and volume of clients and customers.
With our new servers and operating system on the database– combined with the migration of the web servers to virtual containers– Key Green Solutions is poised for long-term operation with simplified future upgrades and larger volumes of data processing. Our customers will be experiencing a faster, more robust environment as they run complex reports!

Within Key Green Solutions software you are able to view which of your vendors are minority owned! With your permission, your relationship coordinator will reach out to each vendor at your facilities and request information about who owns the company/ how much diversity is in the vendor’s workforce. You can then take this information and relay it with real numbers, showing your system’s desire for diversity in its community.
